APPLICATION AND DESIGN CONSIDERATION OF GEOSYNTHETICS FOR EARTH REINFORCEMENT

摘要
地工織物(Geotextiles)依照原文的含意,是指任何應用於大地工程上之可透水性材料,或其它相關材料(ASTM,1988)。狹義地講,可指國內工程界所熟知的織布(Woven Geotextile)或不織布(Non Woven Geotextile)。不過由於材料科技的日新月異,人工材料在大地工程上的應用,不再僅僅侷限於地工織物一種,其他像地工薄膜(Geomembranes),地工格網(Geogrids),地工排水網(Geonets),地工複合物(Geocomposites)等等,歐美地區給這些式樣繁雜的材料一個統合名稱,叫做〝地工合成物〞(Geosynthetics)〔Keorner,1986〕。但是由於地工織物是最早被引進國內的地工材料,且國內的工程界也習慣於使用地工織物此一名詞,因此本文沿用〝地工織物〞一詞為本文的標題,但其含意是廣義地泛指所有地工合成物。地工織物由於種類繁多,外加各種材料的構造不同,因此其功能也不盡相同,目前在大地工程上的應用大致可分為(a)過濾與排水(Filtration/Drainage),(b)防蝕(Slope Erosion Control),(c)保護(Bank Revertment),(d)隔離(Separation),(e)加勁(Reinforcement),以及(f)防滲(Leachate Collection)等等〔張達德,1985〕。本文就地工織物在加勁土壤設計與應用上之考量加以介紹,提供工程師設計應用時之參考。

The purposes of this paper are to introduce the uses of geotextile on the application of soil reinforcement and to specify the design method, and its suitability for the proper geometric condition. The details of design procedure described herein are based on two conditions of application, one is earth reinforcement structure and another is slope reinforcement. Both of external and internal stability are included for the design analysis. Basing on the consideration of limiting equilibrium condition, the proper requirement of geotextile properties can be obtained. It is also noted and discussed in this paper that for the properly material selection purpose, some additional properties of geosynthetics need to be considered such as creep resistance potential, durability behavior, and factor of safety for the different in situ conditions. Therefore, the recommendation and suggestion are concluded for the uses of geosynthetics on the application of reinforcement.
