THE DESIGN OF A PLANT FOUNDATION SYSTEM

摘要
本工程為一石化廠之新建工程,工程基地位於南部某石化工業區,該工業區開發已達10年以上,區內石化工廠林立,土地利用率很高。工業區址靠近河川,經進行大規模之整地、填土作業,方才開發完成。本工程基地面積約1.0公頃,基地南側隔15m寬之道路,即為操作運轉中之另一工廠,設計時應評估施工產生之振動,俾免運轉中之工廠受振動影響而停機。業主為使工程品質、工期及工廠產能達到要求,將該工程以統包方式發包,承包廠商應在議定之價格內,承辦土木、管線、設備、儀表、電機等工程之規劃、設計,施工至試車完成為止。本文針對回填新生地之基礎系統規劃方式及廠區內控制中心結構物之基礎設計做一介紹,以作為類似設計之參考。
英文摘要
An example is given in this paper to illustrate a complete design procedure for a plant foundation system. The basic procedure includes:(1)soil investigation of the site,(2)pick-up of design soil parameters based on field borings, soundings and testings, and laboratory test,(3)evaluation of various influencing factors on foundation design related to geotechnical aspects, environmental impact, schedule and economy, etc.(4)assessment and determination of foundation system, and finally,(5)the detailed footing design. For site exploration, beside conventional site boring and sampling for laboratory tests, various field soundings and testings are increasingly used as site investigation tools throughout the world. In the case presented herein, interpretations of field sounding and test data, including SPT, CPTU and PMT, are demonstrated for the evaluation of various engineering properties, such as shear strength and compressibility, etc., of soils. For foundation design, in general, the following factors should be taken into consideration:(1)soil liquefaction potential under design earthquake,(2)allowable soil bearings,(3)soil settlement under design load, and(4)others, such as construction feasibility, environmental impact, economy and schedule, etc.
